Job summary

ECADIN is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Manager (Rooftop) to lead the technical planning, engineering design, and execution of rooftop solar PV projects in Kuala Lumpur. The role ensures compliance with standards, guides project teams, and coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers to deliver projects on time and to spec.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical planning and execution of rooftop projects.

The Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Manager (Rooftop) leads the technical planning, engineering design, and execution of rooftop solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and project timelines. The role provides technical guidance to project teams, oversees engineering quality and risk management, and coordinates with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the technical planning and execution of rooftop projects.
2. Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.
3. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
4. Provide technical guidance and support to Project Engineers and other team members.
5. Manage technical risks and resolve engineering issues.
6. Coordinate with Design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on technical members.
7. Oversee the quality control of engineering work.
8. Prepare technical reports and documentations.
9. Contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices.
10. Participate in site visits and inspections.
11. Assist in the commissioning process of residential systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in solar PV design and familiarity with relevant solar PV design software.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
