Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an SMTS Product Development Eng to serve as the expert for server system debugging of next-gen AMD microprocessors. You will mentor junior engineers and drive technical decisions critical to the project's success.

Collaborate with design, validation, and architecture teams on content coverage, test pattern development, validation and debugging; deep knowledge of DDR, PCIe, BIOS, OS and x86 is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in server system debugging and hardware/firmware work.
• Knowledge of BIOS, OS, and driver interactions at the system level.
• Familiarity with DDR, PCIe, and high-speed IO protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, validation, and architecture teams for content coverage, test pattern development, validation, and debugging.
• Understand server busses (DDR, PCIe) and high-speed digital design; ensure signal integrity.
• Deep knowledge of BIOS, OS, and driver interactions at the system level; contribute to product engineering.
• Solve complex technical problems and lead process improvements.
• Identify and plan product improvements to reduce cost, improve yield, and resolve quality issues.
