Job summary

AMD is seeking skilled engineers for its Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing group in Penang, Malaysia. You will contribute to pre-production platform bring-up, validation, and lab debugging across complex system on chip issues.

This role involves hands-on testing and collaboration with a growing lab team. Responsibilities include setting up hardware, initial triage, and documenting results while integrating automated tests into CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded systems hardware and debugging.
• Ability to read and interpret board schematics.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Tcl, Bash) and C/C++.
• Familiarity with hardware test benches and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up hardware to facilitate remote/local test execution and workloads in the DCGPU validation lab.
• Lead initial troubleshooting and debug of system, firmware, or software issues across multiple development systems.
• Reproduce issues and validate fixes with DCGPU platform leads and chief engineers.
• Provide logs and statistics to aid further debugging and support CI/CD automated testing integration.
