Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Product Development Engineer to collaborate with Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp new microprocessor products, building and debugging manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors.

The role requires strong programming with Java, Python, Shell, and good Linux/Windows knowledge, plus a PC-systems enthusiast mindset and SLT experience for ensuring test quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines.
• SLT (System Level Test) experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of Linux and Windows OS.
• PC systems power-user or enthusiast.

Responsibilities

• Bring up the system-level test program and advance toward mass production enablement.
• Debug and solve problems related to product features, test conditions, and test contents.
• Identify the root-cause of part failures and propose improvements to test quality.
