Job summary

Sunway Property is seeking a Senior Manager for Supply Chain & Contract Management in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The role leads a department to plan, source, tender and manage contracts, ensuring cost control and compliance.

The candidate will oversee bids, final accounts, and a cross-functional team of consultants, contractors and suppliers, driving value while adhering to QESHMS and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying & Building Technology.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in the related field.
• Working experience with consultancy firm or contractor and property developer.
• Well versed with prevailing market prices of construction works and building materials.
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Strong at relationship building with strong negotiation skills especially with consultants, contractors and supplier.
• Strong leadership skills in managing a team.
• Knowledge in QESH Management, HIRARC, ESH legal & other requirements and EHS practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, directing and overseeing the department to achieve goals.
• Obtain competitive bids and award tenders on time; minimize VO/ET and ensure final accounts.
• Control project cost and keep budget from inception to completion.
• Evaluate contractor bids and monitor cost of major elements.
• Ensure timely and accurate final accounts.
• Lead a team of consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver projects on time, cost and quality.
• Develop and update department SOPs and practices.
• Ensure compliance with QESHMS, ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards and legal requirements.
• Promote prevention of work-related injury and ill health.
• Identify risks, opportunities and plan actions accordingly.
