Job summary

Proton is seeking a skilled Project Management professional in Malaysia to oversee quality issues, coordinate suppliers and improve processes within automotive parts operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years in automotive manufacturing, with strong problem-solving skills and experience in APQP, FMEA, ISO 9001/IATF 16949, SPС and GD&T.

You will drive cost reduction through VAVE, monitor PPAPs and ensure timely reporting to the HOD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of interior parts and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiar with ISO 9001/IATF 16949, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Support quality issues with stakeholders and resolve non-conformance for parts and suppliers.
• Support VAVE and resourcing activities to achieve cost reduction targets.
• Update project status weekly to project coordinator/HOD.
• Follow up with suppliers on parts development and report status and issues.
• Recommend countermeasures on part development and quality issues.
• Review PPAP documents and CKD localization and resourcing activities.
• Perform supplier visits during APQP and participate in development activities.
• Prepare and report production and process validations.
