Job summary

UTAC Malaysia is seeking a Senior Engineer to drive supplier quality management, lead audits and ensure ISO/IATF documentation aligns with UTAC quality policies.

Job description

The Senior Engineer based in Malaysia is responsible for the effective execution of the quality function which includes abnormality investigation, supplier management and proper ISO/IATF documentation with the objective of providing high-quality products and services to fully meet customers' requirements and UTAC quality policies.

Key responsibilities

Manage supplier/subcontractor quality issues with the aim of timely resolution and effective corrective action

Ensure that non-conforming lots are contained immediately and disposition must be made to prevent any interruption in production

Review customer specification and manage customer specific requirements

Execute supplier fan-out action, standardization and horizontal deployment activities on counter measures

Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standard

Review supplier risk assessment, supplier self-assessment, new product qualification report and supplier quality performance (FMEA, MSA, APQA, PPAP, SPC, etc)

Lead onsite supplier qualification audit and follow up on audit findings to ensure all suppliers are closing on time to meet the deadline for mass production

Lead supplier qualification and periodic audit, support internal and customer audit activities

Prepare audit findings report and follow up on the CAPAs to ensure closure on time

Monitor supplier's performance and drive supplier continuous improvement activities to meet quality expectation

support customer audit where required

About you

Degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering or other relevant field

Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality management and auditing experience preferably in semiconductor industry

Certified VDA6.3 / IATF16949 lead auditor

Strong analytical and communication skills

Willing to travel overseas to supplier sites for quality issues/audits and to the Singapore factory monthly for meeting
