Jora Malaysia is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to conduct supplier assessments, audits, surveillance activities and on-site buyoffs to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
You will evaluate supplier quality systems, monitor performance using KPIs, lead root cause analyses using 8D, 5-Why and Fishbone methods, and drive CAPA verification with suppliers.

Conduct supplier assessments, audits, surveillance activities and on-site buyoffs to ensure compliance with company quality requirements.
Evaluate supplier quality systems, manufacturing processes, process controls and capabilities.
Monitor supplier performance, including quality KPIs, defect rates, rejection trends and corrective actions.
Conduct Supplier Review Meetings and follow up on improvement actions.
Lead supplier quality issue investigations and root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone and other problem-solving methodologies.
Review and verify supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and monitor their effectiveness.
Manage supplier-related quality issues involving FAI, EVT, incoming inspection and assembly.
Maintain Q-Note / CPAR records and coordinate the disposition of non-conforming materials with suppliers.
Analyze supplier quality data to identify recurring issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Monitor rejection quantity, material costs and Return to Supplier (RTS) inventory.
Support RTS inventory reduction and supplier quality improvement initiatives.
Work closely with suppliers to establish and maintain Component Quality Plans.
Conduct supplier visits, process verification and improvement activities at critical suppliers.
Support supplier development programs and drive improvement plans with underperforming suppliers.
Collaborate closely with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, QA and Regulatory teams to resolve supplier-related quality and technical issues.
Participate in internal and customer quality meetings and follow up on supplier-related action items.
Perform other assignments as required by the Head of Department or Manager.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or 4 years of related working experience in supplier qualification, supplier quality and quality management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and AS9100 standards.
Experience in supplier audits, supplier development, CAPA, FAI and quality problem-solving will be an advantage.
Familiar with quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis and Root Cause Analysis.
Strong analytical, failure analysis, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated with a strong commitment to quality excellence and continuous improvement.
