Job summary

Kobay Technology in Malaysia seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee supplier quality, drive process controls, and ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards.

You will perform audits, analyze data, lead root cause analysis, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to meet customer specifications and ongoing improvement goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years relevant experience with total 2–4 years.
• Familiar with data analysis, root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Experience with supplier quality and audits is preferred.
• Knowledge in ISO9001, QS9100, FMEA, SPC is preferred.
• Proficient in GD&T and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key liaison between supplier and customer quality requirements.
• Lead supplier quality system audits and on-site buyoffs.
• Ensure product quality and process control meet specifications.
• Coordinate failure analysis and follow up SCAR/8D actions.
• Prepare quality reports and drive continuous improvement.

• Responsibilities as the key liaison between supplier to ensuring that overall customer quality and regulatory requirements and expectations are met all specifications.
• New Product development and product quality improve at supplier/subcon/vendor.
• Supplier quality system audits, on site buyoff.
• Responsible for product quality and process control
• Ensure quality of product meet customer specification and fitness for use.
• Handle supplier's issues and ensure complaints are well addressed.
• Conduct quality meeting to drive for continuos improvement.
• Coordinate and perform failure analysis and follow up SCAR/8D
• Perform Internal Audit, Process & Product Audit and Supplier Audit.
• Coordinate on Purge & NCMR close promptly
• Support team to improve product trouble shoot, problem solving for quality matter raised at supplier
• Support quote and contract review process, ensuring customer quality requirements are met
• Ensure the effectiveness of IQC operation
• Prepare relevant quality report for departmental review
• Enhance/upgrade/train IQC personal quality requirement from time to time
• Capability to communicate with supplier customerto align the measurement method

Minimum Requirements (Education & Work Experience)

• Bachelor's Degree Post Graduate Diploma Professional Degree Engineering Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience with typically 2-4 years of total experience.
• Familiar with data analysis, root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Work with internal team of quality issue analysis and action.
• Liaise with customer, supplier on the quality issue arise.
• To perform product and process audit
• To prepare the quality inspection standard
• To follow up and monitoring the effectiveness of internal and external corrective action
• Knowledge in SPC, FMEA, TS16949, Lean Sigma & QS9100 is preferable.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Good understanding for mechanical drawings GD&T
• Well experience in Product Quality and Reliability Test
• Well understanding of ISO9001 with QC 7 Tools, FMEA, SPC Tools
• Minimum hand on operate CMM & programming.
