Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Quality Engineer (Supplier Quality) in Bandar Penawar to drive quality across the supplier base. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3–5 years of experience are required. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and root cause tools is essential.

You will lead supplier audits, manage PPAP/FAI documentation, perform NCRs and CAPA, and support process validation. Proactive communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related disciplines) is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Proven experience in root cause analysis and use of quality tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram).
• Good communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage quality-related documentation for projects.
• Ensure supplier documentation (PPAP, FAI, CoC, test reports, etc.) complies with company and customer requirements.
• Maintain proper records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Conduct supplier audits (new and existing suppliers).
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs (quality, delivery, responsiveness).
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with Procurement.
• Lead investigation and resolution of supplier-related quality issues.
• Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Oversee incoming inspection standards and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Work closely with QA/QC and production teams to resolve material quality concerns.
• Support process validation and quality control plans.
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives.
• Support cost reduction and process optimization activities.
• Provide technical guidance and quality training to suppliers when necessary.
