Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage supplier performance and ensure materials meet quality and regulatory requirements. You will drive audits, QMS reviews, RCAs, and containment of issues with suppliers in a dynamic sourcing environment.

The role emphasizes APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, and process capability analysis, with travel to supplier sites as needed to sustain quality improvements and supplier development.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Diploma or Degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, 8D and supplier audits is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with proven supplier management ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor supplier quality performance including PPM, rejection rates, complaints and supplier scorecards.
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers through assessments, audits, and capability reviews.
• Coordinate APQP and PPAP activities for new products, suppliers, and engineering changes.
• Review supplier quality documents such as PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, MSA, SPC, and inspection reports.
• Lead root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.

Responsible for managing supplier quality performance and ensuring that materials, components, and products supplied meet the company's quality, technical, customer, and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on supplier qualification, audits, PPAP, corrective actions, supplier development, and continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor supplier quality performance, including PPM, rejection rates, complaints, and supplier scorecards
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers through supplier assessments, audits, and capability reviews
• Conduct supplier QMS, process, and product audits and follow up on corrective actions
• Coordinate APQP and PPAP activities for new products, suppliers, and engineering changes
• Review supplier quality documents including PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, MSA, SPC, and inspection reports
• Manage supplier NCR, SCAR, 8D, and corrective action activities
• Lead root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective
• Monitor incoming material quality and coordinate containment for supplier-related quality issues
• Monitor supplier process capability (Cp/Cpk) and drive process improvement
• Work with suppliers to reduce defects, scrap, rework, PPM, and quality-related costs

Requirement

• Diploma/Degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing
• Experience in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, 8D, and supplier audits
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant customer/industry requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and supplier management skills
• Willing to travel to supplier sites when required
