Qualifications

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record in structural design and analysis.
• 10+ years post-qualification experience in structural design/engineering.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD or Esteem.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MS 1228 and relevant standards.
• PE registration with BEM is highly desirable.
• Experience with BIM is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design calculations using industry-standard software and methodologies.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for construction projects.
• Perform site investigations and assessments of existing structures and ground conditions.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers to ensure design integration.
• Review and verify construction drawings and specifications prepared by junior staff.
• Provide technical support during construction, including site visits and issue resolution.
• Perform finite element analysis and advanced modelling for complex systems.
• Ensure designs comply with Malaysian building codes and standards.
• Contribute to project cost estimation and value engineering.
• Maintain project records and quality assurance documentation.
