Job summary

THW Group in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Structure Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our established industrial building consulting team.

You will perform structural analysis and design for buildings and civil structures, prepare calculations and reports, and coordinate with architects, M&E consultants, and contractors while ensuring code compliance. Site inspections and technical problem solving are also required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of structural design experience.
• Proficient in CAD, ESTEEM and STAAD PRO.
• Ability to independently handle structural design without guidance.
• Strong initiative and hardworking.

Responsibilities

We are an established Industrial Building Consulting firm in Seberang Jaya, Penang is seeking a motivated and experienced Structure Design Engineer to join the team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for Building and Civil Structures
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports
• Coordinate Structural Works with Architects, M&E Consultants, Contractors and other disciplines
• Review Structural Drawings and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical solutions to site-related structural issues
• Assist in preparing technical documents and submission where required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in structural design
• Familiar with STRUCTURE DESIGN SOFTWARE (must be able to handle CAD, ESTEEM and STAAD PRO)
• Must be able to handle and design all STRUCTURE DESIGN without any guidance
• Independent and hardworking
