Job summary

Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer, Unit Process Engineering to develop, implement and optimise machine vision systems for defect detection in manufacturing. You will advise on vision hardware selection and integration, and drive feasibility studies and validations for new software and AI-enabled solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with vision systems, camera hardware, optics and lighting, plus strong analytical skills and independent work

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
Strong theory with hands-on experience in Machine Vision / Vision Systems.
Experience in automated inspection and defect detection applications.
Knowledge of camera hardware, optics, lighting and image acquisition.
Ability to perform feasibility studies and technical validation.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and optimise Machine Vision / Vision Inspection systems to improve defect detection.
Provide expertise in vision system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Define vision system requirements and select hardware for integration.
Conduct feasibility studies and technical validations for vision software.
Evaluate and improve defect detection accuracy and system effectiveness.
Explore AI and deep learning for vision applications and deploy models.
