Job summary

Renesas Electronics Malaysia is seeking a Senior Staff Test Engineer to drive long-term ATE roadmaps and architect scalable test platforms across global production. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Quality, Design and Validation teams to ensure high-performance AI power solutions meet world-class reliability.

The role requires 10+ years in semiconductor test, advanced ATE expertise with V93K/COHU/SPEA, and strong programming in C++/Python.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive semiconductor experience at Staff or Senior Staff level.
10+ years of automated test solution development on high-end ATE platforms (Advantest V93K, COHU Diamondx, SPEA DOT800, ETS364).
8+ years in ATE test development for mixed-signal and power ICs; multi-die modules desirable.
Proficient in C++ and Python for production-grade automation.
Experience validating and characterizing ICs or power circuits with lab instruments.
Design expertise for high-performance ATE loadboards/probe cards with parasitic reduction.
Strong communication and cross-functional influence.
Travel 0-10% for global manufacturing/vendor sites.

Responsibilities

Define and execute strategic test roadmaps for next-generation ATE solutions.
Lead software frameworks and hardware architectures to scale testing globally.
Establish design-for-test guidelines for complex multi-die power modules.
Own product qualification, characterization, and cross-platform correlation.
Coordinate with Product Eng, Design and Operations for seamless ramps and releases.
Provide executive oversight on yield optimization and cost reduction.
Mentor engineers and manage ecosystem/vendor relationships.
