Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Senior Staff Test Engineer to lead test development strategy for high-performance AI power solutions in Kulim, Malaysia. You will define ATE roadmaps, architect scalable test platforms, and drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Quality, Design and Validation teams.

The role requires 10+ years in semiconductor test, deep expertise in high-end ATE platforms, and strong programming in C++/Python.

Qualifications

• 10+ years semiconductor experience or a Master/PhD with 8+ years.
• 10+ years building automated test solutions on high-end ATE platforms.
• 8+ years experience in mixed-signal and power test for ICs.
• Proficient in C++ and Python for production-grade automation.
• Experience with high-power multi-die modules is desirable.
• Willingness to travel 0–10% for global sites.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term ATE roadmaps and test strategies.
• Architect scalable hardware/software testing platforms.
• Lead quality planning and design-for-test guidelines.
• Own product qualification and cross-platform correlation.
• Coordinate with Product, Design, and Operations for ramps.
• Provide governance for yield optimization and cost reduction.
• Mentor Staff/Senior/Junior engineers on best practices.
• Manage vendor/FS partnerships to align with roadmap.
