Job summary

Celestica, Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Staff Engineer, Software to lead end-to-end development for next-generation data center switches. You will own design, debugging, testing and deployment of NOS, BSP, OpenBMC, and BIOS/firmware, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

The role requires 12–18 years in network switch software, a bachelor degree or equivalent, and strong leadership with the ability to drive complex programs under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent; 12–18 years in relevant field preferred.
• Experience leading large, multi-domain software projects for data center networking is a must.
• Strong understanding of network OS, switch silicon SDKs and firmware bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of software cross multiple domains.
• Provide technical leadership to a global team of engineers.
• Review customer specs and act as primary customer contact when needed.
• Architect and develop NOS components and BSP drivers for new switch hardware.
• Drive deployment strategies and coordinate site-wide rollout across teams.
• Improve test automation, performance tuning and security features.
• Collaborate with customers, managers and peers to deliver robust solutions.
