Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Operations Engineering lead to design and deliver custom software and automation for shop-floor optimization. You will integrate MES and equipment, drive end-to-end rollouts, and collaborate across OED, OPS, ISD, SW&D, and Product Line PGs to improve yield and productivity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
8–10 years of software development/engineering, semiconductor or factory-ops preferred.
Hands-on factory-automation / equipment-integration experience — MES integration and SECS/GEM connectivity.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain custom software tools for Operations Engineering.
Integrate shop-floor equipment and MES via SECS/GEM.
Develop and deploy containerized apps (Docker/Kubernetes) and connect PMO workflows.
Lead projects from initiation to delivery with stakeholders across functions.
Define and improve engineering and project-management processes and standards.
Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors on infrastructure, cloud, security, and tooling.
