Job summary

ams OSRAM in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer in Lithography to sustain and optimize coat, expose, and develop steps across multiple lithography tools.

The role drives CIP, leads process improvements, and mentors technicians and engineers while ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to manufacturing standards.

You will partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to support transfers and new technology adoption in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• ≥8 years experience in lithography/semiconductor processing.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Ability to monitor KPIs and drive CIP (Continuous Improvement Projects).
• Committed to safety, quality and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and optimize Photolithography processes including coat, expose, and develop operations.
• Drive process improvements to enhance quality, yield, productivity, and cost; monitor KPIs such as defectivity, CpK, process capability, and stability; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions; participate in process qualification and recipe optimization.
• Drive Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to improve operational efficiency and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing, engineering builds, and technology transfer; lead and mentor Process Technicians and junior engineers; ensure compliance with safety, quality and manufacturing standards.
• Provide leadership, communication, and teamwork; support equipment team for equipment troubleshooting.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks and strategic initiatives assigned by management; maintain documentation, records, and SOPs.

Your new responsibilities

• Drive process improvement activities to enhance quality, yield, productivity, and cost performance.Monitor and control process KPIs including defectivity, CpK, process capability, and stability. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process-related issues.Involve in process qualification, process characterization, and recipe optimization activities
• Drive Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to improve operational efficiency and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing, engineering builds, and technology transfer activities. Lead and mentor Process Technicians and junior engineers in daily process and technical activities.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
• To have good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Support equipment team for equipment troubleshooting.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks and strategic initiatives assigned by management. Maintain proper documentation, records, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
