Job summary

Gen is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to design, build and run highly available infrastructure powering MoneyLion’s critical applications.

You will work across cloud, Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD, observability, and automation, partnering with multiple engineering teams to raise reliability and developer experience. The role emphasizes mentoring and platform improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong software and systems engineering fundamentals for large-scale production systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Kubernetes experience, preferably Amazon EKS, with architecture, networking and operations knowledge.
• Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and automated workflows.
• CI/CD and GitOps practices (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Observability/monitoring with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or similar tools.
• Networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud networking.
• Scripting/programming in Python/Go/Bash for automation.
• Experience with incident management, capacity planning and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and continuously improve highly available, scalable infrastructure.
• Build and operate cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms focusing on reliability and security.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, and developer self-service tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering to design reliable architectures for new and existing services.
• Improve observability and automation across applications and infrastructure.
• Lead on-call rotations, incident response, post-incident reviews, and improvements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce toil with automation and AI-assisted operations.
• Lead infrastructure modernization and platform standardization initiatives across MoneyLion.
• Ensure capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
