Job summary

Tech Staffing is seeking an senior Linux infra engineer in Kuala Lumpur to design, deploy and manage large-scale Linux server environments across Rocky Linux, CentOS, and Ubuntu. You will support web platforms, API servers, and MySQL clusters in production and staging.

You will drive reliability and security through hardening, configure firewalls, VPNs and Bastion Hosts, and automate with Ansible while enhancing monitoring with Zabbix, Prometheus and Grafana. 24/7 incident readiness is required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience running production systems.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
Knowledge with Kubernetes in production.
Familiarity with modern delivery practices — CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy and manage large-scale Linux server environments across distros.
Improve infrastructure reliability and security by hardening standards.
Configure firewalls, set up VPNs, Bastion Hosts and zone segmentation.
Streamline configuration and deployments through Ansible.
Enhance monitoring and observability with Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana and stress tests.
Support and optimise LAMP stack, Nginx, and Docker environments.
Implement proactive security assessments with nmap and ELK Stack.
Deliver round-the-clock incident response rotations.
