Job summary

CTOS Data Systems is seeking a hands-on Executive, System Engineer to administer and optimize RHEL/Amazon Linux across AWS, VMware, and private clouds in Malaysia. The role covers Windows Server, AD, and cross-platform support, with a focus on automation and security best practices.

You will patch, harden, monitor, and document configurations while coordinating with infrastructure teams. 2–5 years of Linux/infra experience is expected, with strong scripting skills and governance awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in CS/IT/Engineering.
• RHCSA/RHCE, AWS SysOps/SAA, VMware VCP, or ITIL 4 Foundation advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL and Amazon Linux with cloud and security practices.
• Familiarity with governance such as BNM RMiT, MoF, ISO 27001 advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize RHEL/Amazon Linux across AWS, VMware, private cloud.
• Manage OS installation, upgrades, repos, services, filesystems, and SUDO.
• Provide Windows Server/AD support and interoperability with Linux and cloud.
• Develop automation with Bash, Python, Ansible, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Maintain asset, configuration, and operational records for audits.
