Job summary

S&P Global in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and expand cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and automation. You will work with DevOps, QA, and development teams to deliver secure, automated solutions for operational tasks.

The ideal candidate has 7–15 years of DevOps/Software Engineering experience, solid AWS, Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD expertise, with scripting in Python or Unix shell and familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana and Splunk.

Qualifications

7–15 years of DevOps and software engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
AWS cloud technologies, GitHub, Terraform, and CI/CD experience.
Document-Oriented DB experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software development teams to improve application reliability, performance, security and scalability.
Provide BAU Production support, and resolve issues either spotted by monitoring or reported by users before causing business impact
Develop scripts in Terraform, Python and Unix shell scripting to automate tasks and streamline processes.
Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform on AWS cloud platform utilizing best practices.
Comfortable with writing database queries and performing database management with an added advantage of experience in Document-Oriented Data Bases, AWS storage solutions.
Set up and configure monitoring solutions, including Grafana, PagerDuty, Splunk to ensure system health and respond to incidents promptly.
Availability to occasionally participate in weekend production releases/deployments and availability to sometimes discuss handovers with teams in Europe and Asia at the early mornings or late afternoon.
