Job summary

bp in Malaysia seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to improve reliability, resilience and operational effectiveness of our technology platforms and services. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure systems are highly available, scalable, secure and supportable in production.

You will use software engineering, automation and modern cloud practices to reduce manual effort, improve performance and strengthen production reliability. This role is hybrid.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE/Platform/DevOps with production-systems experience.
• Strong cloud security, IaC and CI/CD understanding.
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex production issues.

Responsibilities

• Improve reliability, availability and performance of cloud apps and services.
• Design automation to reduce manual operational work and boost efficiency.
• Build and enhance monitoring, logging and observability in production.
• Investigate incidents and drive root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Improve resilience, recovery and operational readiness.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Maintain infrastructure with IaC and automation.
• Identify risks and drive technical debt reductions.
• Improve cloud security and operational practices.
• Develop reusable engineering patterns and mentor engineers.
