Job summary

Kaifa Technology Malaysia seeks an SMT process specialist to drive process development, line setup, and profiling for wave soldering. You will optimize solder paste printing, ensure high first-pass yield, and program SMT equipment including vision systems. Experience with Fuji NXT, ASM, and AOI/SPI is desirable.

The role focuses on improving line efficiency, implementing rapid changeovers, and upholding TPM and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• SMT process development and optimization required.
• Setup SMT lines such as screen printers and pick-and-place machines.
• Create and optimize reflow oven profiles.
• Develop and tune solder paste printing processes.
• Analyze first-pass yield, line efficiency, and throughput.
• Experience with Fuji NXT, ASM, Parmi AOI/SPI, MPM, X-Ray.
• Programming SMT feeders, nozzles, and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot root causes and apply corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Produce furnace temperature plates and debug equipment parameters during new product introductions in wave soldering.
• Repair and maintain SMT equipment per TPM requirements.
• Prepare operation guidelines and inspection forms for equipment.
• Maintain, program, and debug peripheral equipment, forming machines, and fixtures.
• Collect spare parts model/spec information for backend equipment.
• Assess risk when workshop layout is adjusted.
• Plan PM maintenance for equipment, lines and tools.
• Propose labor-saving improvements and implement rapid line changeovers.
• Drive cost-down activities and supervise safety compliance.

Responsible for the production of furnace temperature plate and the debugging of equipment parameters during the introduction of new products in the wave soldering process.

Carry out the repair and maintenance of SMT equipment operation in accordance with TPM requirements.

Responsible for the preparation of operation guidelines and inspection forms for equipment and tools. Attrition SMT, Downtime

Responsible for the maintenance, programming and debugging of peripheral equipment, forming machines and fixtures.

Responsible for the collection of spare parts model and specification information of each equipment in the back end section.

Responsible for the risk assessment of equipment and line body when the layout of the workshop is adjusted.

Responsible for PM maintenance planning of various equipment, lines and tools.

Put forward the improvement proposal of replacing labor with equipment and promote the implementation.

Universal modification of equipment and tooling tools, rapid line changeover and improvement planning and implementation to meet the requirements of small batch and multiple varieties.

Promote cost down activity.

Management of safety and fire safety related affairs.

Other work arranged by the company.

Job Requirements

• Creating and optimizing reflow oven profiles.
• Developing and tuning solder paste printing processes.
• Analyzing and improving first-pass yield, line efficiency, and throughput.
• Experience with machines from Fuji (NXT), ASM, Parmi (AOI,SPI), MPM, XRay etc.
• Programming of SMT equipment (e.g., feeders, nozzles, vision systems).
• Troubleshoot the root cause & apply precise corrective action to the issue
