INVENTEC APPLIANCES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, seeks an SMT Process Engineer Supervisor to oversee the SMT line at our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility and ensure efficient, high‑quality production.

You will manage the SMT engineering team, guide NPI activities, analyze defects, drive CI projects, and collaborate across departments to resolve cross‑functional issues while maintaining essential process documentation.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years SMT process engineering experience.
• At least 2 years in SMT engineering management or supervisory roles.
• Familiar with SMT processes: solder paste printing, placement, reflow, post-inspection.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily SMT process engineering team: task allocation, skill development, performance evaluation.
• Perform NPI assessments: DFM/DFA analysis, feasibility, trial production support.
• Handle process anomaly analysis and improvement (soldering defects, misalignment, etc.).
• Lead process improvement projects to reduce defects, waste, and costs.
• Collaborate with equipment, quality, production, and procurement to resolve cross‑departmental issues.
• Establish and maintain SMT process documentation (SOP, PFMEA, Control Plan, WI).
• Promote MES data analysis and digital/automation improvements.
