Job summary

ASE Semiconductor (Penang) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to sustain and optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and lead process improvements in a fast-paced facility in Penang.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering or related technical discipline and a minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or semiconductor environments, with strong leadership and communication skills. You will mentor operators and junior technicians while supporting NPI and technology transfer.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to train and mentor others.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
• Wamiliarity with process control and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
• Ownership mindset with accountability and urgency.
• Experience supporting improvement projects, qualification builds, and NPI is a plus.
• Technical leadership experience for an assigned process is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and support manufacturing processes to meet quality, yield, and productivity targets.
• Monitor process performance and respond to production issues.
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality-related problems.
• Perform process setup, recipe verification, and qualification activities.
• Support engineering evaluations, process changes, new production introduction & technology transfer activities.
• Investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze process data and prepare engineering reports.
• Support engineer in maintaining process documentation and work instructions.
• Train and guide operators and junior technicians.
