Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Malaysia seeks a senior Process Development Engineer focused on SMT/PCBA manufacturing. You will drive process scouting, optimization, verification and freeze activities to meet project targets in timeline, quality, cost, and manufacturability, while leading complex problem solving with data-driven methods.

Responsibilities include documenting processes, collaborating with suppliers on new tooling, and mentoring teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or related field with substantial SMT/PCBA experience.
Hands-on SMT process expertise including screen print, component attach and reflow.
Experience in stencil tooling design and reflow know-how.
Familiarity with DOE and SPC methods.
Knowledge of thermo-mechanical simulations is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

Technical handshake and knowledge transfer to Operations.
Generate and update Process Specification, PFMEA, DFMEA, OJTI, and related documents.
Contribute to Process of Record, Assembly Design Rule, and Process Roadmap updates.
Coordinate with suppliers for tooling, machines and materials qualification in Development.
Lead task forces using SPC, DOE, 8D, and FMEA tools.
Identify and develop new process technologies to meet business needs.
