Renesas Electronics (Malaysia) seeks a Senior Manufacturing Manager in Penang to lead front-line manufacturing across multiple shifts, driving operational excellence, capacity planning, and workforce strategy for automotive, industrial, and IoT semiconductor products.

The role connects shop floor with site leadership, translating corporate goals into actionable floor plans while escalating systemic issues and maintaining a zero-incident safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in semiconductor/manufacturing with 3–5 years in multi-shift management.
• Strong knowledge of back-end semiconductor processes (assembly/test).
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and cost/yield improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing performance for assigned production lines, including output, yield, cycle time, cost per unit, and on-time delivery targets.
• Lead a multi-shift team of production supervisors, engineers, and technicians (500+ headcount).
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies to reduce cost, scrap, and downtime.
• Partner with Process Engineering, Quality, and Equipment Engineering to resolve yield excursions.
• Manage capacity planning and production scheduling with Supply Chain and Planning teams.
