Renesas Electronics Corporation in Penang seeks a Senior Manager for Industrial Engineering & Planning to drive capacity, throughput, and production planning. You will translate demand into executable factory plans, remove bottlenecks, and lead improvements across the back-end assembly and test facilities.

The role connects Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Equipment, and Quality to optimize capacity, cost, and productivity while guiding AI, analytics, and digitalization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years in semiconductor/high-volume electronics manufacturing.
• 3+ years managing people.
• Knowledge of SEMI E10, WIP, and cycle time management.
• Proven Lean/Six Sigma initiatives with measurable gains.
• Hands-on with MES, APS, and data tools (SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Python).
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain engineering and planning talent.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity planning, master production schedule, and loading plans vs. demand.
• Lead bottleneck analysis and drive OEE, UPH, utilization improvements.
• Lead a team of industrial engineers, planners, and analysts.
• Run S&OP and capacity reviews with Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
• Own factory layout, line balancing, standard times, and equipment ratios for new lines.
• Build simulation and what-if models for capex justification and expansion decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Lead automation roadmap with ROI and readiness for NPI and tech transfer.
• Own planning systems (MES, APS) and promote AI and analytics in operations.
• Report site KPIs to senior leadership and drive corrective actions.
