Job summary

Renesas Penang seeks a Senior Manager, Industrial Engineering & Planning to lead capacity, throughput, and production planning for its back-end assembly and test facility. This role turns customer demand into executable plans, removes bottlenecks, and drives productivity and cost improvements that keep the site competitive in a fast-moving semiconductor market.

The Senior Manager is a critical link between Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Equipment, and Quality, translating corporate goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field; Master's/MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity planning, master production schedule, and loading plans vs demand forecasts.
• Lead bottleneck analysis and drive OEE, UPH, utilization improvements across lines.
• Lead a team of industrial engineers, planners, and analysts; build bench strength.
• Run S&OP and capacity reviews with Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing; manage hot lots and subcontractor loading.
• Own factory layout, line balancing, and equipment ratios for new lines and relocations.
• Build simulation models to support capex decisions and expansions.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma to reduce cost, scrap, and downtime.
• Lead automation roadmap with ROI and readiness for NPI and tech transfer.
• Own planning systems (MES, APS) and promote AI, analytics, and digitalization.
