Job summary

RHB Group is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to elevate quality practices across the software delivery lifecycle. You will own end-to-end testing governance, automation, data management, and DevTestOps to ensure reliable releases and scalable software.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and DevOps to embed quality, champion testing best practices, and drive SIT, UAT, and CI/CD integration within an Agile Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering roles.
• Strong experience in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright, Jenkins, CircleCI, or equivalent technologies.
• Hands-on experience implementing testing practices within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and quality engineering principles.
• Experience with Agile testing approaches including TDD, ATDD, BDD, XP, and related software engineering practices.
• Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle, test strategy development, test governance, and defect management.
• Experience in test data management and environment coordination across multiple applications and teams.
• Proven ability to lead testing initiatives and manage third-party vendors or development partners.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in banking, financial services, telecommunications, or large-scale digital transformation projects is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Establish and govern SIT processes to ensure high-quality releases before UAT.
• Design and implement end-to-end test data strategy aligned with business needs.
• Drive adoption of DevTestOps by integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright, Jenkins, CircleCI.
• Collaborate with development teams to promote testable code and quality engineering principles using Agile practices.
• Work with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into deployment pipelines and quality gates.
• Define testing methodologies, frameworks, and architectures for scalable delivery.
• Lead external vendors and SIT testing teams to ensure timely, quality deliverables.
• Identify test requirements, create test strategies, ensure coverage across functional and non-functional areas.
• Perform exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and manual testing where automation is not feasible.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, scripts, data, and supporting artefacts.
• Monitor test execution progress and implement dashboard-driven reporting to improve visibility.
