Job summary

Calm Brand Solutions Sdn. Bhd. seeks an Assistant / Retail Operations Manager to oversee daily operations for multiple units in Malaysia, driving sales and maintaining high customer service.

You will manage teams, implement brand standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute retail initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, English and Chinese communication, and travel within Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business is a plus.
• 8+ years’ hands-on retail operations experience with 5+ years managing multiple stores.
• Fashion apparel and footwear experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese to liaise with overseas counterparts.
• Strong retail operations, sales techniques and customer service standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in POS and related retail software.
• Based in Kuala Lumpur with travel within Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Set up and implement retail strategies to drive growth and develop a high-performing team.
• Ensure VM standards and brand guidelines at all locations are followed.
• Manage daily operations and monitor performance to boost sales and efficiency.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing, merchandising and VM to implement initiatives.
• Build relationships with landlords, suppliers and business partners.
• Lead the retail operations budget aligned with local goals.
• Drive continuous improvements in customer service standards.
• Stay updated on market trends and best practices to enhance business results.
• Ensure operations policies comply with local regulations.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members; foster accountability and excellence.
• Work with Senior Retail Operations Manager SEA on strategic plans.
