Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join the Malaysia regional Energy Team. You will deliver renewable energy and low-carbon technology projects, from pre-feasibility through detailed design, focusing on solar PV, BESS, and high-voltage substations across Malaysia and the region.

You will conduct design reviews, perform technical due diligence, and contribute to proposals while supporting junior engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering background with 6+ years in renewable energy.
• Experience in solar PV projects within a consulting setting.
• Familiar with PVsyst and HomerPro software and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for solar power plants, BESS, and HV substations.
• Conduct design reviews of electrical drawings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform technical due diligence and support investment decisions.
