Job summary

UL Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a senior technical advisory lead to drive complex engagements across utility-scale solar PV, floating systems, BESS, and hybrid projects in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. You will provide leadership on electrical engineering, grid connection, and power system studies, while directing client-facing engagements and ensuring quality across reports and deliverables.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical engineering with PE registration advantageous.
At least 10 years in renewable energy including advisory or engineering roles.
Deep expertise in solar PV, BESS, wind and hybrid projects is required.
Strong knowledge of grid codes, interconnection and procurement frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead complex advisory engagements for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and hybrid projects in SE Asia.
Provide senior leadership on electrical engineering, grid connection, and power system studies.
Act as engagement director and primary client contact, setting scope, schedule and quality.
Review and approve advisory and due diligence reports for technical and commercial accuracy.
Drive ASEAN business development by building relationships with developers, lenders and utilities.
Lead proposals, define scope, budget, risks, and coordinate with legal/commercial teams.
Shape regional strategy and services aligned with energy transition priorities.
