Job summary

SimpliSolar in Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer to lead end-to-end execution of solar PV and electrical projects, from site mobilisation to handover, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/ Renewable Energy or Construction Management, 2–4 years of project execution experience, strong drawing interpretation skills, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Construction Management.
• 2–4 years of experience in project execution, solar PV, or M&E works.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site layouts, and BOQ requirements.
• Solid understanding of site safety protocols and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and willing to travel frequently to various project sites and rooftops.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Drive site mobilization, installation, testing, and commissioning while ensuring work aligns perfectly with approved designs and BOQs.
• Resource Management: Plan and manage site manpower, materials, tools, and subcontractor support to keep projects running efficiently.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Bridge the gap between Design, Procurement, Technicians, and clients to resolve site constraints and ensure seamless project handovers.
• Safety & Quality: Enforce strict site safety rules (PPE, JSAs, toolbox briefings), manage comprehensive project documentation, and oversee defect rectifications.
