Job summary

ABB in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Electrical Energy Studies Lead to drive energy efficiency and reliability across Southeast Asia. The role blends engineering, customer engagement, and business development, with a hybrid work model and close collaboration with local sales and digital solution teams.

You will lead energy assessments, perform field measurements, translate findings into technical and commercial proposals, and help grow ABB’s Energy Studies offering regionally, while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering, power systems, energy management, or related sectors; certification in energy management is desirable.
• Experience with energy audits, power system studies, and energy optimisation projects; hands-on use of diagnostic tools.
• Ability to analyse electrical data and present quantified recommendations with customer value.
• Strong commercial awareness to support sales of engineering and digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Energy Studies, energy assessments, and power quality studies at industrial sites.
• Conduct field measurements and analyse data to identify energy efficiency improvements.
• Develop baselines, quantify savings, and prepare business cases and technical workshops.
• Translate study findings into technical and commercial proposals for energy optimization.
• Collaborate with sales and digital solution teams to pursue follow-on projects in SEA.
