Job summary

Think SME Pte Ltd in Malaysia (Penang) is seeking a senior preparer for our accounting team to support a portfolio of Singapore SME clients. You’ll prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts, GST computations, and year-end financial statements to review-ready standard.

This fully remote role requires hands-on experience with full-set accounts in Xero, strong English and Mandarin, and the ability to manage multiple clients with high accuracy and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in accounting, ideally in SMEs or small practices.
• Hands-on experience preparing full-set accounts through year-end statements.
• Singapore corporate tax and GST experience strongly preferred.
• Billingual in English and Mandarin.
• Highly accurate and organised with ability to manage multiple clients remotely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full-set accounts in Xero: bookkeeping, bank and account reconciliations, AP/AR and month-end adjustments
• Prepare year-end closing entries, draft financial statements (SFRS for Small Entities) and supporting working papers
• Prepare corporate tax computations and Form C-S/C, and GST F5 returns, for manager review
• Prepare monthly or quarterly management reports for clients
• Follow up with clients on missing documents and queries, in English and Mandarin
• Clear review points promptly and keep working papers organised and well-referenced
• Track deadlines across multiple clients and flag risks early
• Suggest improvements to templates, checklists and workflows, including automation and AI-assisted tools
