Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and communication skills; Bahasa Malaysia proficiency preferred; Cantonese/Mandarin a plus.

We are partnering with several leading regional banks in Hong Kong to recruit experienced corporate banking relationship managers with expertise in the Malaysian market.

Based in Hong Kong, the successful candidates will develop and manage relationships with large corporate clients in Malaysia, supporting their domestic and cross‑border banking needs across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Business Development: Acquire, develop, and manage a portfolio of large corporate clients across Southeast Asian markets, identifying new business opportunities and deepening existing relationships.

Regional Client Coverage: Collaborate with regional branches and overseas entities to support clients’ cross‑border financing and banking needs.

Cross‑Selling & Client Service: Drive revenue growth by delivering tailored corporate lending, trade finance, cash management, and treasury solutions in partnership with product specialists.

Business Performance: Achieve individual business targets and contribute to overall team objectives.

Credit Assessment & Proposals: Conduct financial and credit analysis, structure financing proposals, and coordinate credit applications and periodic reviews in accordance with the bank’s credit policies and approval procedures.

Risk & Compliance: Monitor portfolio quality and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Regional Exposure: Participate in training in Hong Kong and undertake short‑term assignments across Southeast Asian entities, depending on the hiring bank and business needs.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of corporate banking relationship management experience serving large corporate clients.

Demonstrated experience covering the Malaysian market, with an established corporate client network or a proven track record of business origination.

Sound knowledge of corporate lending, credit analysis, trade finance, cash management, and treasury products.

Good understanding of banking operations, credit policies, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Strong business development, relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.

Professional proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia/Malay is highly preferred for client engagement and market coverage.

Proficiency in (Cantonese/Mandarin) would be an advantage.

Willingness to be based in Hong Kong and undertake regional travel as required
