Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to manage a portfolio of individual and corporate clients. You will identify client needs and provide financial advice across banking products, investments, and wealth management services.

You will drive sales targets, review portfolios, prepare proposals, collaborate with product teams, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in relationship management within the banking/financial services industry, preferably with high-net-worth clients.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.
• Strong understanding of banking products, investment vehicles, and wealth management solutions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Results-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the Malaysian financial sector.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE) are highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin or other local dialects would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with a portfolio of individual and corporate clients.
• Identify client needs and provide comprehensive financial advice and solutions across banking products, investments, and wealth management services.
• Proactively engage with clients to understand their financial goals and risk profiles, offering suitable UOB products and services.
• Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for various banking products, including deposits, loans, investments, and insurance.
• Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios to ensure alignment with their financial objectives and market conditions.
• Prepare and present financial proposals and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with product specialists and other internal departments to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales activities in the CRM system.
