Quectel Wireless Solutions Penang Sdn. Bhd. seeks an experienced RF engineer to lead end-to-end RF hardware design for complex GSM/WCDMA/LTE modules and PCBA projects in Penang.

You will define RF front-end architecture, balance performance and cost, and drive 3GPP test-case compliance. The role requires at least 3 years in RF design, a Bachelor degree in electronics or related field, and strong English communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in electronics, communications, radio or related field.
• 3+ years of GSM/WCDMA/LTE RF design and debugging experience.
• Familiar with RF schematic design and circuit debugging.
• Good command of English reading/writing; oral English preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end RF hardware design for GSM/WCDMA/LTE modules and PCBA projects.
• Define RF front-end architecture and component strategy (PA, LNA, Switch, Filter).
• Design and optimize RF circuits including tuning/matching and harmonic suppression.
• Ensure 3GPP test case compliance and drive margins and robustness.
• Resolve RF interference and desense issues via simulation and lab analysis.
• Act as escalation point for RF issues in cost-down projects and mass production.
• Collaborate with Antenna, Mechanical, Baseband, and Layout teams.
• Handle other tasks assigned by management.

Job responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end RF hardware design for complex 2G/3G/4G/5G cellular modules and PCBA projects, from RF architecture definition, link budget analysis, schematic capture to high-frequency PCB layout (impedance control, isolation).
• Take charge of RF front-end (RFFE) architecture design and component strategy (PA, LNA, Switch, Filter) to balance performance, cost, and power consumption.
• Expertly design and optimize complex RF circuits, including multi-band tuning/matching networks, harmonic suppression, and coexistence filter designs.
• Lead the design and optimization process to ensure full 3GPP Test Cases Compliance, driving margins and robustness beyond standard requirements.
• Resolve deep-level system interference and desense issues (e.g., RF coexistence, EMI/EMC, power noise coupling) through advanced simulation and lab analysis.
• Act as the highest-level technical escalation point to resolve critical RF issues encountered in cost-down projects, product lines, and mass production.
• Collaborate with Antenna, Mechanical, Baseband, and Layout teams to optimize overall product performance.
• Other tasks assigned by management

Qualification

• Bachelor degree or above in communication, electronics, radio, microwave, automation, etc.
• Familiar with RF schematic design, PCB decoration, circuit debugging
• At least 3 years GSM/WCDMA/LTE mobile phone RF design and debugging experience, Qualcomm platform development and design experience is preferred
• Have A good understanding of RF basic theory, familiar with LTE/LTE-A communication principle
• Proficient in English reading and writing, able to communicate in oral English is preferred
• Good team work spirit, serious and responsible for work, proactive, willing to bear hardships, easy to deal with sincere, strong ability to work under pressure.
