Job summary

Quectel Wireless Solutions Penang Sdn. Bhd. in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, seeks a Radio Frequency Engineer to design and test 2G/3G/4G/5G cellular module RF hardware.

You will develop RF schematics and PCBs, debug issues, and prepare technical documentation for certification and qualification. The role requires at least 1 year of RF design experience, familiarity with LTE/LTE-A principles, and strong teamwork with proactive problem-solving under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in communication, electronics, radio, microwave, automation, etc.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for 2G/3G/4G/5G cellular modules and PCBA project hardware RF design such as Schematics and PCB design, debugging and problem solving, all kinds of HW document writing.
• Do the HW components evaluation, selection and certification for cellular modules and PCBA project.
• Responsible for R&D testing for cellular modules and PCBA project, and related evaluation board.
• Design and create the SCH and PCB for RF-part, and take part into further development and optimization process which includes tuning/matching circuits regarding optimum performance under 3GPP Test Cases Compliance.
• Support to solve the RF problems encountered in cost-down/product-line/certification processes.
• Other tasks assigned by team lead from time to time

Job responsibilities:

Responsible for 2G/3G/4G/5G cellular modules and PCBA project hardware RF design such as Schematics and PCB design, debugging and problem solving, all kinds of HW document writing.

Qualification:

Bachelor degree or above in communication, electronics, radio, microwave, automation, etc.

Familiar with RF schematic design, PCB decoration, circuit debugging

At least 1 year GSM/WCDMA/LTE mobile phone RF design and debugging experience, Qualcomm platform development and design experience is preferred

Have A good understanding of RF basic theory, familiar with LTE/LTE-A communication principle

Proficient in English reading and writing, able to communicate in oral English is preferred

Good team work spirit, serious and responsible for work, proactive, willing to bear hardships, easy to deal with sincere, strong ability to work under pressure.
