Quectel Wireless Solutions Penang Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Electronic Design Automation Engineer (EDA) to contribute to HDI PCB layout for high-density modules, including 6–12 layer boards and module mainboards.

You will master power rail and signal line requirements, perform SI simulations, and design PCBs that meet stringent standards while collaborating with BB, RF, ME and manufacturing teams. The role emphasizes teamwork, EMI awareness, and hands-on footprint creation for 4G/5G cellular

Qualifikationen

• Over 2 years of multi-layer HDI layout experience, preferably for mobile phones or communication modules.
• Knowledge of circuit theory, transmission line theory and RF basics.
• Familiar with PCB lamination structure, process flow, and impedance calculations.
• Bachelor degree in electronics/communications/radio/microwave or related fields; diploma may suffice with rich experience.
• Knowledge of EMI, power integrity and signal integrity preferred.
• Good English reading and writing skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and team spirit.

• Capable of participating in the independent layout design of functional circuits (e.g., WIFI, PMU) for 6~12-layer 3-stage HDI boards, complex module mainboards and PCBA mainboards.
• Master the design requirements for all power rails and critical signal lines, including SI simulation and isolation requirements. Independently design and complete PCBs that meet such standards.
• Proactively communicate with BB, RF, ME and manufacturing teams, ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration, Analyze and resolve common design issues.
• Responsible for creating component footprints, 4G/5G cellular modules PCB design.
• Assist hardware engineer to complete PCB placement, PCB Layout, review and modification.
• Other tasks assigned by management.

Job responsibilities:

Capable of participating in the independent layout design of functional circuits (e.g., WIFI, PMU) for 6~12-layer 3- stage HDI boards, complex module mainboards and PCBA mainboards.

Qualification:

More than two years of multi-layer HDI Layout experience, mobile phone or communication module Layout experience is preferred.

Basic knowledge of circuit, transmission line theory, RF and other knowledge.

Familiar with PCB lamination structure and process flow, wiring impedance principle and calculation.

Bachelor degree in electronics, communication, radio, microwave or other communication and electronics related majors, if the work experience is very rich, can be reduced to diploma.

Knowledge of EMI, power supply integrity and signal integrity is preferred.

Good English reading and writing skills.

Strong sense of responsibility, work carefully, proactive, good team spirit.
