Job summary

Quectel Wireless Solutions Penang Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Project Quality Management Engineer to drive automotive product quality across the project life cycle.

You will collect external and internal quality requirements, lead standardization of inspection criteria, and supervise implementation of quality standards with cross-functional teams. You will identify quality risks, coordinate mitigation plans, and monitor effectiveness while maintaining strong communication with clients, supporting

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive electronics industry or software quality management.
• Familiarity with quality control tools such as APQP, FMEA, the seven QC tools, Six Sigma management.
• IATF16949 external auditor certificate and PMP certificate are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collect the requirements for product quality from external customers and internal product definitions.
• Lead the decomposition and conversion of quality standards across departments; archive and distribute inspection standards.
• Submit project quality control plans and outputs (e.g., project review reports).
• Identify quality risks in the project’s research and production process; organize departments to assess and mitigate them.
• Lead quality communications with clients, support on-site audits, and handle client complaints.
• Contribute to the Lead Quality Lesson Learn database used for DFMEA and PFMEA.
• Review major quality issues in the market and EMS factories; promote system/process improvements.
• Be careful, meticulous, patient, and highly resilient under pressure.

Collect the requirements for product quality from external customers and internal product definitions, and drive the decomposition and conversion of quality standards by various internal departments. Take the lead in confirming, archiving and distributing product inspection standards, as well as supervising the final implementation of quality standards.

From the project kick-off stage, participate in project activities, submit the project quality control plan, and promote the project quality management work in accordance with the project quality plan, and submit corresponding output materials. For example: project review report, etc.

Identify the quality risks in the project's research and production process. Organize relevant departments to assess the quality risks, formulate response plans, monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of the plans, and lead the horizontal expansion and standardization of the plans.

Throughout the entire project life cycle, I was responsible for leading the quality communication with the clients. This included filling out client survey forms, providing support for client on-site audits, and handling client complaints.

The "Lead Quality Lesson Learn" project collects and organizes to form a company-wide problem database. This problem database is used as input for the company's DFMEA and PFMEA, thereby enhancing the maturity of the company's FMEA tools.

Review of major quality issues in the market end and EMS factories. Not only supervise the correction of the problems, but also promote the improvement of the system and management processes. Ensure that preventive measures are taken to avoid recurrence from the perspective of the company's quality system processes.

Job Requirement

Education Background: Major in Electronics, Communications, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Automation, etc. All related majors in the field of electronics.

Professional qualification certificate: English proficiency at level 4 or above

Over 3 years of experience in automotive electronics industry or software quality management is preferred

At least 3 years of experience in project quality management or project management in the electronics or communication industry; Familiar with quality control tools such as APQP, FMEA, the seven QC tools, Six Sigma management, etc.; Those with IATF16949 external auditor certificate and PMP certificate will be given priority.
