Job summary

MTAI Sdn. Bhd. seeks a proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, contracts, and commercial matters for construction projects in Malaysia.

You will prepare BQ, estimates, tender documents, and cost analyses, perform quantity take-offs, and evaluate tenders, VO, progress and final accounts. Strong contract knowledge and stakeholder coordination are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction or building projects.
• Good knowledge of PAM, JKR, CIDB, and FIDIC contracts.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and contract documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, tender documents, and project cost analysis.
• Conduct quantity take-offs based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Evaluate tenders, variation orders (VO), progress claims, subcontractor claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow, and implement cost control measures throughout project execution.
• Assist in contract administration, contractual correspondence, and project documentation.
• Manage variation orders (VO), claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients on commercial and contractual matters.
• Attend project meetings and support overall project commercial management.
• Establish and improve commercial processes, contract administration workflows, and cost control SOPs to support business growth and operational efficiency.
