Job summary

T.T.E. Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post-contract activities, cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions for complex engineering projects.

You will review documents, negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, administer contracts, monitor costs and prepare monthly reports, with a focus on delivering projects within budget and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Over 3 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, M&E, HVAC or EPC.
• Extensive experience in tendering, cost estimation, budgeting and procurement.
• Proven experience handling variation orders, claims, EOT applications and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage all pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.
• Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.
• Evaluate and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports and commercial performance reports.
• Negotiate variations, claims, and contractual matters with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.
• Ensure timely submission of progress claims and collection of payments.
• Lead dispute resolution and contractual negotiations when required.
• Provide commercial advice and recommendations to management and project teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and commercial objectives.
• Support tendering activities from commercial perspective.
