Job summary

WCT Berhad is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead tender submissions, cost analysis and value engineering for civil, infrastructure or building projects in Malaysia. The role also covers post-contract responsibilities including subcontract procurement, payment certification and variation management.

The candidate should have a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience, and a strong grasp of cost control and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Building Survey / Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil, infrastructure or building works.
• Knowledge in Civil and Infrastructure will be an added advantage.
• Good in Taking-off and Contracts Administrative Works.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit documents for tender bid including costing, take-off, analysis and compilation of tender submissions.
• Attend tender briefing and site visits with Senior Manager/Manager and prepare site visit reports.
• Assist in value engineering, cost optimization and budget setting.
• Prepare sub-contract tender documents for procurement, evaluation reports and Letters of Award to successful sub-contractors (Post-Contract).
• Prepare and submit monthly progress payments and attend site evaluation/joint measurement.
• Review, recommend, certify and check n balance sub-contractors’ payments; prepare variation orders and claims; prepare final measurement and accounts.
