Job summary

TR Build Group Sdn. Bhd. seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects. You will handle cost control, take-offs, and contract administration across projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in quantity surveying within construction, strong negotiation and risk management skills, and fluency in multiple languages.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in quantity surveying in construction or building industry.
• Proficient in quantity surveying practices, cost estimation, and budget management.
• Strong skills in contract negotiation, risk management, and value engineering.
• Fluent in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English, both speaking and writing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiar with local construction regulations and standards in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects.
• Manage project costs throughout the lifecycle, track expenditures, and implement cost control.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specs to determine quantities.
• Prepare and administer contracts with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Evaluate and manage project risks, identifying overruns and mitigate.
• Conduct value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors for effective communication.
• Monitor and report on project financial performance to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
