Comet Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead outgoing QC, inspections, and final buy-off ensuring specifications are met. You’ll drive 8D, RCCA, NCR, and CAPA activities, perform PFMEA, SPC, and OCAP, and partner with cross‑functional teams to support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant quality experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage outgoing quality control, visual inspections, and final product buy-off to ensure assemblies and finished goods meet required specifications.
• Lead 8D, RCCA, NCR, and CAPA activities to investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct regular process audits, including Lam POR self‑audits, and ensure consistent compliance with defined processes and quality standards.
• Support PFMEA, SPC, and OCAP activities to identify process risks, monitor quality performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams to resolve escalated issues and support customer and ISO 9001 audits.
