Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead ISO/inspection services with a strong focus on conformity, documentation, and process improvement.

Candidate will develop and implement management system controls, review inspection standards, and supervise inspectors to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 37001, and ISO/IEC 17020 in a Malaysia-based operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within inspection or ISO external audit.
• Minimum 5 years in operation of plant requiring certificate of fitness.
• Engineering degree recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as Document Controller.
• Assist Quality Manager to develop, implement, and document control of the integrated management system and conformity requirements for inspection services per ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 37001, and ISO/IEC 17020.
• Set and review standards for inspection procedures to align with ISO requirements.
• Ensure adherence to ISO standards, national regulations, safety guidelines, and legal obligations.
• Supervise inspectors and provide guidance on ISO standards and regulations.
• Oversee inspection processes and identify deviations from standards.
• Perform quality and integrity audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and national regulations.

About the job

Performed QMR responsibilities in the absence of Quality Manager or when being delegated by Senior Operations Manager.

Act as Document Controller.

Assist Quality Manager to develop, implement, and document control of the integrated management system and conformity requirements for inspection services in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 37001, and ISO/IEC 17020.

Set and review standards for inspection procedures to ensure they align with ISO requirements.

Ensure adherence to ISO standards, national regulations/codes, safety guidelines, and legal obligations.

Supervise inspectors, providing guidance and feedback about ISO standards and national regulations/codes.

Oversee inspection and processes to identify deviations from standards.

Perform quality and integrity audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and national regulations/codes.

Skills & experience required:

Shall hold an engineering degree recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and have work experience of not less than 3 years in the operation of plant requiring certificate of fitness or diploma recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and have work experience of not less than 5 years in the operation of plant requiring certificate of fitness.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the inspection or ISO external audit industry.

Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspections processes.

Extensive experience with ISO 9001 and other relevant ISO standards.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

A keen eye for detail and a result-driven approach.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
